ABOUT US

The Business

I started Dustbunny's back in 2014. I was in an epic battle between my skin and soap. It didn't seem to matter which brand of soap, or consistency (liquid or bar), I had an irritation problem. My skin would get dry, tight, itchy or it would burn. I got tired of it. I set out to learn how to make soap and change my uncomfortable issue. It dawned on me that if I had this problem, other people must be suffering with it too, so I decided to make a business out of it with the goal of creating soap that left your skin feeling clean and comfortable.

The Inspiration

Dustbunny's is named for a rescue rabbit that came into my life at the perfect time. I needed her to happen. I needed a purpose, and she gave it to me. I'm sure some of you are saying "it's just a rabbit..." but she gave me a new perspective. She was a tough girl, never afraid to show a vacuum who's boss.  Anyone who has ever rescued an animal knows that the animal really picks you, you don't pick them. Dustbunny was sitting in a corner like a big loaf of bread and I was just drawn to her. She had been abandoned and found in a parking lot. She sat politely on my lap and I just knew she was there for me. I'm passionate about animal rescue. If you are considering getting a rabbit and have questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. There's far more to know than people realize and I'm always willing to answer questions, offer advice and make suggestions.

The Maker

My name is Sam, and I'm a busy body. I have a full time job as an Optician and DBB is my side hustle. Though I would say its more than a side hustle because someday I hope for it to be my full time occupation. I just love to create and I can't wait for the day when I'm able to make creating all I do.
